Memorial services for Jo Anne Tolman, 76, of Dibble, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at Midway Baptist Church, located at one-quarter mile south of intersection highways 39 and 76 in Dibble, Oklahoma with Pastor Jim Prock officiating.
Jo Anne Tolman, known as “Jo Mama”, was born April 19, 1943 in Dale, Oklahoma to Jon Davis and Lessie Davis. She died Sunday, October 27, 2019 in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
Jo grew up in McCloud, Oklahoma and graduated high school in Dale, Oklahoma. She remarried Douglas Dwight Tolman in Anchorage Alaska in 1993.
She moved from Oklahoma City to Dibble in the mid 80’s, where Jo made a home for her family. She attended and participated with their children’s activities as they were growing up. She loved fishing and buying “treasures” at garage sales with her best friend Mamie England of Dibble. She loved to cook for everyone, make candy for anyone she can give it to at Christmas time, sewing clothes for her grandchildren and knitting blankets and scarfs.
She was preceded in death by both parents; brothers, Ron Davis and Jon Davis.
Survivors include her husband, Douglas D. Tolman, of Anchorage Alaska; daughter, Tammy Tolman of Dibble, Oklahoma; son, Kenny Tolman of Chickasha (wife Amanda Tolman), Oklahoma; son, Jeffrey Tolman of Dibble (wife Angela Tolman) , Oklahoma; five grandchildren and many other extended family and friends.
