Maureene (Rice) Todd

Maureene (Rice) Todd
March 4, 1918 ~ July 30, 2012 (age 94)

Todd, Maureene M., 94, passed away Monday, July 30, 2012 in Norman, Oklahoma.  She was born March 4, 1918 on an oil lease outside of Oilton, Oklahoma to Benjamin and Clara (Bair) Rice.  She was united in marriage on October 7, 1939 in Edmond, Oklahoma to Mr. Doyle Todd.  

Maureene graduated from Oilton High School in 1935 and atttended Central State University on a drum major scholarship.  She was a longtime member of the First Christian Church of Norman.  Maureene enjoyed painting, gardening and was an avid reader.

Maureene is survived by her son, John D. Todd of Norman; daughter, Lynda Roberts and husband Butch of Norman; grandchildren, Theresa Bozalis and husband David of OKC, Katherine Rollins and husband Todd of Tulsa, OK, Butch Roberts, Jr. and wife Rachelle of Norman and Todd Roberts and wife Stephanie of Norman; great grandchildren, Jay Bozalis, Sarah Bozalis, Sheridan Johnson, Rhett Rollins, Pierce Rollins, Reid Roberts, Rylee Roberts, Avery Roberts and Shayne Roberts; and numerous cousins, family members and friends. 

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Doyle Todd on November 17, 1997; two sisters, Freddie Jackson and Mona Jackson Teehee.

The family extends their gratitude to Dr. John Krodel, nurses and the staff at Norman Regional Hospital for the care given to Maureene.

Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 3, 2012 in the Chapel of the Havenbrook Funeral Home.  A reception will be held in the Havenbrook Event Center immediately following the memorial service.

Arrangements for Maureene and her family were placed in the care of the Vice family at the Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman.
