John "Chip" Michael Todd, Jr., 51, of Ponca City, OK, died on January 17, 2022. A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, January 22, 2022, at the Trout Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Tom Howard officiating. Face masks are required. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, 505 W. Grand Ave., Ponca City, OK 74601.
Chip was born on November 25, 1970, in Ponca City, to John Michael Todd, Sr. and Sandra (Higgs) Evans. He graduated from Ponca City High School. He worked as a service tech for CenterPoint Energy. Chip was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed fishing with his nephews, Hunter and Gage. Chip was a sports fan and die-hard OU fan. He loved to cook with his smoker and share the food with his family.
Chip is survived by: daughter, Chelsea Todd, of Ponca City, OK; parents, Sandra and Terry Evans, of Ponca City, OK; brothers, Shane Todd and his wife, Rachael, of Yukon, OK, JT Todd and his wife, Cassie, of Ponca City, OK, Jacob Todd and his wife, Brenda, of Tahlequah, OK; sister, Kim Peetoom and her husband, Ryan, of Blackwell, OK; aunt and uncle, Carolyn Kempenich and her husband, Nick, of Ponca City, OK; uncle, Randy Higgs of Ponca City, OK; fur babies, Oreo and Riley. and numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
Chip is preceded in death by his father, Mike Todd and grandparents, Orphia & Kathy Higgs.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Marcus Nolan, Mike Ailey, Jon Kempenich, Bryce Barnes, Donny Kendrick, Colton Dollarhide, Fred Scott, Laramie Mayer, John Munger and Donovan O'Hara
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ponca City Junior Baseball, PO Box 1141, Ponca City, OK, 74602. The family requests those who are attending the service to wear OU colors.
