Stephanie Faye (Daniels) Tignor

Stephanie Faye (Daniels) Tignor
November 5, 1952 ~ June 3, 2023

Stephanie Faye (Daniels) Tignor, former Fairfax resident, gained her wings and joined loved ones in Heaven early Saturday morning, June 3, 2023. She had been a resident in the Cleveland Manor Nursing Home and was 70 years young.

Born and raised in Fairfax, Oklahoma, she became a part of this world on November 5, 1952, the only child of Stephen Clarence Daniels and Wanda Mae (Chapman) Daniels. She attended Fairfax Schools, graduating with the Class of 1970. After graduation, she began her path to becoming a dental hygienist.

For many years, Stephanie was employed at Dr. Ben's dental office on Main Street. Later, she worked at Pawhuska in the BIA and then as a salesclerk at both Jumping Spirits Liquor Store (north main) and Shell's Liquor Store (south main). A very friendly and outgoing lady, she strived to greet each customer by name.

Stephanie was proud of her Native American heritage. An enrolled member of the Osage Nation and a descendant of the Pawnee Tribe, she enjoyed sharing with her grandchildren the tribal ways. Her paternal grandparents were Clarence and Mabel (Bennett) Daniels, and her maternal grandparents were Pawnee tribal leader Henry and Lonie (Tatum) Chapman. She also attended the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

She was very family oriented and always enjoyed family functions. She was extremely dedicated to her two sons and more than anything, loved spending time with her grandkids as well as her own tribe of four legged furry friends! Her greatest joy was the grandchildren, she would invite them one at a time to spend the night with her and then send them home spoiled rotten!

Stephanie is survived by her sons, Stephen and his wife Cindy; their girls Emma, Tylie, and Madison all of Hominy; son Daniel and his wife Melissa; their children Hailey, James Daniel Jr., and Stephen all of North Carolina; cousins, Shanda Hocutt, Hope Murphy, and Billy Cannon and their families; plus, multiple life-long friends.

Meeting her in heaven were her parents, Stephen and Wanda; aunt Faysemma Cannon and cousin Danny Grimm.

Her wishes were to be cremated and the family is honoring her wishes under the guidance of Hunsaker Wooten Funeral Home. Family and friends are invited to sign and view the online guestbook at
