Clara Ann (Slack) Threlkeld

July 4, 1871 ~ ???? | Age 78

Mrs. Clara Ann Slack Threlkeld, 78, a resident of north Texas for four years and of Wichita Falls for 41 years, died Saturday in a Wichita Falls hospital following a week's illness. She had been in failing health for about three years.

A resident of 905 Twelth, Mrs. Threlkeld had operated a popular early day boarding home on Indiana.

Her husband, William D. Threlkeld, a railroad man, died March 30, 1948. They had celebrated their golden wedding anniversay in 1947.

Mrs. Threlkeld was born July 4, 1871, in Iowa and moved to Henrietta with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Slack in 1876.

She was a member of the First Methodist Church here.

Survivors include two sons, C. E. Lippencott of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; B. E. Lippencott of Los Banos, California; and one daughter, Mrs. J. M. Ozee of Wichita Falls, Texas.

Services were held at 2:30 p.m. Monday in the Owens and Brumley Funeral Home with burial in Hope Cemetery in Henrietta.
