Pat Thorpe, born September 19, 1953 to Virginia and Dean Gentry in Glenna Mo, died December 3, 2009 after a lengthy but courageous battle with cancer.
Pat was a devoted Mother, Sister, Aunt, Grandmother, friend and caretaker of many. Upon the untimely death of her parents Pat assumed the responsibility of her younger siblings at the young age of 16. Pat not only raised her younger siblings she raised her three beautiful daughters who were the light of her life.
Pat married the love of her life and soul mate George Thorpe II on June 30, 2000 after a 10 year courtship.
Pat was employed by Tinker Air Force Base for 27 years.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, and 2 brothers.
Pat is survived by her husband George Thorpe II of the home, Daughters Sheri Gay of Choctaw, Jenny and Husband Keith Layne of OKC, Shannon and Husband Chris Ford of Shawnee, Sister Ida Howell of McLoud, Brothers Johnny Gentry of Spencer, David Howard of McLoud, Step-son Isaiah Thorpe of Shawnee. 9 Grandchildren and 2 Great-Grandchildren and Many beloved nieces and nephews.
