Herman Thompson

Herman Thompson
October 19, 1960 ~ November 11, 2024

Herman Thompson was born October 19, 1960, to Jeremiah and Berniece Thompson in Talihina, Oklahoma. He departed this life November 11, 2024, at the age of 64.

Herman graduated from Charles Page High School in Sand Springs, class of 1978. He was employed at Kwikset for over ten years. On November 6, 1993, Herman Thompson and Carol Simmers were united in marriage.

Herman enjoyed playing volleyball at the Indian community center, going to the casino, watching Oklahoma Sooner football, but most importantly spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He fought a long hard battle but was ready to go.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Simmers Thompson of the Bristow home; four children, Shannon Simmers of Sapulpa, Nathan Simmers and wife Natasha, Herman Thompson Jr. and wife Nia of Shawnee, Jeremiah Thompson and Vanessa Battiest of Morris; siblings, Janie and Mitch Rice of Tulsa, Elsie and Ronnie Lena of Sapulpa, and Sandra Thompson of Ponca City; fourteen grandchildren and one great grandson as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Loretta Perigo and Faye Sago and two brothers, Jeremiah Thompson Jr. and Tommy Thompson.
