Carl Joseph Thomasson -- the tallest 5'-6" man who ever lived -- started the next part of his journey on January 17, 2022, passing away at home
Carl was born December 2, 1933, near Bogard, MO to Carl D. and Emma Thomasson and grew up in several small towns northeast of Kansas City while his mother taught school. He married Marian Graham on September 8, 1962 and soon began working for Phillips Petroleum Company, which transferred the family to Bartlesville in 1970. Carl retired from Phillips in 1993 and during the next several years worked at the home, at Lowe's and as a surveyor for the United States Department of the Census. He was a member and an active volunteer at Bartlesville First United Methodist Church.
Carl is currently enjoying his reunion with his parents, brothers and sisters and a number of other family members and friends who predeceased him. Carl is survived by his wife Marian, of the home; son Brett of Pawhuska OK; daughter Anne of Kansas City, MO and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Memorial services are planned later by the family. Family members suggest in lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to Bartlesville First United Methodist Church, Kindful Hospice or Bartlesville Physical Rehabilitation.
Memorial services for Carl J. Thomasson, who passed away on January 17, 2022, are scheduled at the Bartlesville First United Methodist Church, at 2 PM on Tuesday, March 15.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Bartlesville First United Methodist Church, Kindful Hospice or Bartlesville Physical Rehabilitation.
