Travis “T.A.” Thomas

February 11, 1904 ~ July 26, 2007

Services for Travis “T.A.” Thomas, 103, of Fort Worth, Texas, were held at 3:30 p.m., Monday, July 30, at Greenwood Chapel, Fort Worth. Interment was in Greenwood Memorial Park.

Born February 11, 1904 in Love County, he died Thursday, July 26, 2007.

A member of West Freeway Church of Christ, he was also involved in Southwest Rotary of Fort Worth, was past president of East Side Rotary, past president of Sou-westers Toastmaster, Toastmasters International, Telephone Pioneers, Junior Achievement, SCORE and a great host of other community organizations.

Survivors include his wife, Melba Thomas; two sons and daughter-in-law, William F. Thomas of Fort Worth and Jim and Elaine Sandel of Weatherford; two daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy and Jim Hudgins of Godley, Texas, and Nancy and James Cotton of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Vicki and David Maxwell of Monroe, Michigan, Kelly Sowell, Courtney Runnels, Ashley Krafthoffer, Dusty Cotton, Crissy Mourad, Cody Sandel and Lori Cotton; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Adeline Thomas.

Greenwood
