Pat Earl Thedford, 82, of Blanchard, died Saturday, May 14, 2016, at his home. The son of Russell Eugene Thedford and Alma Owen (Lakey) Thedford, he was born August 18, 1933 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Pat was a veteran of the United States Army and Navy. He married Janice Kay Wallace on August 18, 1978, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Pat owned and operated Thedford Fence Company for many years. He attended Ridgecrest Baptist Church and was a member of the AQHA. In his spare time, he enjoyed training horses, striper fishing, playing pool, and watching sports, especially OU football and Thunder basketball. His greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his grandchildren and attending their sporting events.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Les Benson; two grandsons, Shawn Thedford and Camden Singleteary; one brother, Russell Thedford; two sisters, Rena Fulks and Priscilla Warren; a niece, Dana Fulks; and a nephew, Terry Thedford.
Pat is survived by his wife of 37 years, Jan Thedford of Blanchard; five daughters, Lori Crabb and Ron Blasingame of Oklahoma City, Marci Singleteary and husband, Brad, of Newcastle, Teresa Rowell and husband, Gary, of Moore, Trish Martin of California, and Lisa Weaver of Tennessee; one daughter-in-law, Andi Benson of Bridge Creek; three sons, David Thedford and wife, Cheryl, of Lawton, Chris Thedford and wife, Vonda, of Eufaula, and Rick Thedford and wife, Barbara, of New Mexico; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; one sister, Alma Foster and husband, Bill, of Moore; one sister-in-law, Lou Anne Wood of Blanchard; one brother-in-law, Daniel Fulks of Bridge Creek; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, May 18, 2016, at Ridgecrest Baptist Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard. Online obituary and guestbook are available at www.eisenhourfh.com.
