Eric Thebo, son of Elizabeth Jane Thebo (Pack) and Joseph Thebo, was born on May 7, 1962, in Kansas City, Missouri. He passed away at Beadles Nursing Home in Alva, Oklahoma, on October 19, 2019 at 57 years, 5 months and 14 days. A father of two biological children and three stepchildren.
Ricky worked at various places while growing up in Kansas City. In the fall of 1980, Ricky followed the oil field to Alva, where he worked until the oilfield crashed. He then worked at Shallop's Meat Packing for seven years. He then moved to Florida where he was self-employed. He moved back to Alva in 2005, where he was a self-employed handyman.
Ricky loved doing all sorts of carpentry and roofing work. He dabbled in mechanics a bit. He loved spending time teaching his grandkids, great nieces and nephews how to fix and build different things. He would always have his kids and the neighborhood kids helping him on different projects. He gave all the kids nicknames while working with him. His favorite time was sitting outside listening to music by a fire and visiting with friends.
Ricky was preceded in death by both his parents, Joseph and Elizabeth; his brothers, Joe and Keith Thebo; sister Debra Rees; great nephew Bryse Johnson; and great cousin Michael Gaither.
Ricky is survived by his kids Amanda Thebo (of Stillwater); Lourie Bays and husband Josh (of Stillwater); sons Uriah and Zachary Thebo and Michael Thomas (of Florida); grandchildren Elizabeth (Chiricahua) Nealy, Xander (Cowboy) Nealy, Tesla (blockhead) Madden, Abby and Preston Bays; brothers Darren Thebo (of Colorado), Jessie Brynjulson (of New Mexico), Shadow Ruepert (of Nevada); nieces and nephews Stephanie Burden and husband Jackie, Sherry Maxwell, Dalton Mahoney, Jacobi Mahoney and significant other Sabrena, Dawn Head and husband John, Jason Thebo and wife Marie, Jeremy Thebo and wife Heather; grandnieces and grandnephews Mandra, Jaden, Paityn (Weirdo) Kasidy (Freak), Karly, Gavin, Taylor, Tara, Tabitha, Maranda, Austin, Brandon, Sebastian, Madison, Bryan, Amber, Ashley, Kaitlyn; and great-niece and great-nephew Za'Niyah and Corbin
