Mark Mattson Tekell, 63, of Norman, Oklahoma, passed away on July 2, 2016 surrounded by family at his home.
A memorial service to honor Mark will be held Tuesday, July 5th, 6:00 p.m. at the Belmar Golf course in Norman.
Mark was born in Corsicana, Texas on February 21, 1953. He graduated from Corsicana High school in 1971 and continued on to receive his RN and CRNA from the University of Texas Medical School. Mark worked as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist for 37 years in Norman, OK.
Mark enjoyed golf, hunting and fishing. He was very active and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He always looked forward to the trips with his golfing buddies in Norman and Nashville, TN. He made several trips a year with his friends to enjoy the game he loved so much.
Mark is survived by the love of his life, Tracey Imotichey. Children, Andrew Tekell of Norman, Betsy Carroll and husband Dan of San Jose, CA, Erik Tekell of Norman; Grandchildren Stella and Millie Carroll, and his Father Joe B. Tekell of Corsicana, Texas:; Brothers LTC Scott Tekell (R) and wife Jodi of Azle, Texas, Brad Tekell and wife Janet of Corsicana, Texas; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his mother June E. Tekell of Corsicana, Texas.
