Joyce Marlene Teel of Blue, OK passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2018 in Denison, TX at the age of 61. She was born June 20, 1956 in Pomona, California to Ronald John Vesterby and Beaulah Irene Ramsey.
She graduated from Monclair High School in California and relocated to Bryan County in 1978. Joyce married John Teel on February 28, 1988 in Blue, OK. They spent 30 wonderful years together. Together, Joyce and John owned and operated Blue Store and John Teel Auctions. She was of the Protestant Faith and was a member of Blue Baptist Church. Joyce enjoyed sewing, drawing, and attending auctions.
She is preceded in death by her father, Ronald John Vesterby; sister, Jelene Hale; brothers, Bob Stevens, Don Vesterby, and Ron Vesterby; and sister, Judy Robison.
Survivors include her loving husband John Teel of the home; two sons, Ben Teel and wife Carla of Blue, OK, Ken Teel and wife Whitney of Blue, OK; her mother, Beaulah Vesterby of Blue, OK; two grandsons, Brock Allen and Tucker Whitaker both of Blue, OK; two granddaughters, Makayla Teel and Shealynn Whitaker both of Blue, OK; three boys who she thought of as sons, Clint Shaffer, Jeff Wilkins, and Steve Abreo and one girl who Joyce considered as a daughter, Randi Jo Duke, along with many, many extended family members and dear friends.
Services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, May 27, 2018 at Brown's Funeral Service Chapel with Bro. Dale Ballard and Bro. Adam Cantrel officiating. Family will accept friends Saturday evening from 6-8 PM at the Funeral Home.
