Tom Taylor, son of Frank and Lizzie Wildcat Taylor, was born on October 24, 1947 in Adair County, Oklahoma. He departed this life to be with the Lord on February 24, 2014 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Tom married Josephine Copeland on January 4, 2011. Tom loved being with family and friends, he loved going to singings and playing his guitar, most of all he loved preaching the word of God.
Tom worked catching chickens with Mike Dersam for many years until his illness. Tom and Josephine loved going to flea markets and spending time with their little dogs. He loved spending time with his step grandsons and his nephews, Curtis and Dexter Taylor and four little girls whom he called his granddaughters.
Tom is preceded in death by his parents, sisters: Leona Mae Brown, Nellie Sue Burgess, Annie Walkingstick, Sara Wolf, Mary Gann and Martha Foster, brother: Jeff Wolf, four nephews and three nieces.
He is survived by his wife: Josephine Taylor of the home in Westville, stepdaughter: Tina Cook and husband Paul of Lincoln, AR, stepson: Jeffrey Hancock and wife Sandy of Prairie Grove, AR, nephews: Curtis Taylor and wife Lynn of Westville, Dexter Taylor and wife Jennie of Stilwell, OK, Hank Brown and wife Anna of Stilwell, Brendan Taylor and wife Lisa of Westville, granddaughters: Lindsey, McKenzie, Brooklyn of Tahlequah, OK, Teagan Swake of Westville, god child: Tina James of Springdale, AR, step grandsons: Dylan Cook and Brent Coggins of Lincoln, AR, brothers: Roy Taylor of Bunch, OK and Walter Wolf of Westville, godchildren: Mike Dersam, JR, Jeremy Dersam, Adam Dersam, Cory Dersam, Michele Dersam Johnson, Brandy Dersam and a host of other nephews, nieces and other relatives.
Funeral services were held at 1 pm on Friday, February 28, 2014 at Roberts Hart Chapel, Westville, OK with Bro. Danny Willard officiating. Interment followed at Summers Cemetery, Summers, AR.
