Jackie Josephine Taylor, 92, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at Legacy Village in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Jackie was born on October 7, 1933, in Henryetta, OK, to William and Claudia Elms Reese. The family invites friends and loved ones to honor Jackie's remarkable life and to celebrate the precious memories she created over the years. A reception-style funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 7th from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Strode Funeral Home Chapel in Stillwater, OK.
Jackie lived a long and beautiful life, touching the hearts of all who knew her with her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love. Professionally, Jackie worked at the Oklahoma State University bookstore while Al was going to college and then was the Oklahoma City Community College bookstore manager from 1963 to 1987.
Jackie will be fondly remembered for her gentle spirit, her dedication to family, and her extraordinary capacity for love. Her presence enriched the lives of those around her, and her legacy will continue to inspire and guide those she leaves behind. Jackie was a member of the Church of Christ in Perkins, OK. Jackie loved the outdoors, traveling with Al, relatives, and friends to Branson, Idaho, and several National Parks.
Jackie is preceded in death by the love of her life, Alfred Taylor, with whom she shared nearly 76 years of marriage; parents, William Reese and Claudia (Elms) Reese, as well as her siblings; Floy Shenold, Mary Ann Newton, William (Bill) Reese, Betty Chapman, Norma Sullivan, and Patty O'Daniel.
Jackie is survived by her loving brother, James Reese, and many nieces and nephews who remain to cherish her memory and legacy.
The family would like to give special thanks to everyone at Legacy Village in Stillwater, Luminous Hospice, and Cornerstone Care Givers for their unwavering support, kindness, and professionalism providing comfort to Jackie and her entire family.
Jackie will be deeply missed but never forgotten. May she rest in peace.
