John Taylor, Jr

Oct. 3, 1949 ~ Jan. 31, 2008

John Taylor, Jr., a resident of Henryetta was born October 3, 1949 in Claremore, Oklahoma to Lucy and John Taylor Sr. He passed away Thursday, January 31, 2008 at his home south of Henryetta, Oklahoma at the age of 58 years 3 months and 28 days.

He was a member of Hickory Ground #1 Indian Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by both his parents and by one brother.

He is survived by his two daughters, Jessica Taylor, Henryetta; and Miriah Perez, Tulsa, Oklahoma; brothers, Robert Taylor, Okmulgee; Albert Taylor, Glenpool; and Herbert Taylor, 5 grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Newman Taylor, Roley Taylor, Joseph Pope, Buster Bear, Albert Taylor, and Robert Taylor.

A wake service will be held on Sunday Evening at 7:00 p.m. at Hickory Ground # 1 Indian Baptist Church.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, February 5, 2008 at 2:00 pm at Hickory Ground # 1 Indian Baptist Church South of Henryetta officiated by Pastor Mithell Taylor. Burial will be at Taylor Family Cemetery under the direction of Shurden Funeral Home.
