Emily Lynette (Gulley) Taylor, 81, formerly of Guymon, passed away Friday morning, April 14, 2023 at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Enid, Oklahoma with family by her side.
Lynette was born in Muleshoe, Texas, on September 15, 1941, to EJ and Lela (Nelson) Gulley. On December 27, 1966, Lynette married Marvin Eugene Taylor and they were married for 56 years. She was a member of the Sunset Lane Baptist Church and was a volunteer of the Ladies Auxiliary at Texas County Memorial Hospital and Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry. Lynette enjoyed sewing, attending auctions and spending time with her family and friends at church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Benny, LC, and Bobby Gulley; and two sisters, Mary Smith and Jimmie Philpott; Lynette is survived by her husband, Marvin; daughters Shelley Wirtz of Enid and Kristy Taylor of Okeene; sons, David Taylor and wife, Rachele, of Guymon and Steven Taylor and wife, Lisa of Pony, MT; two sisters, Alice Jefferson of Bentonville, AR and Betty Renner of Temple, TX; 5 grandchildren, Molly, Clara, and Christopher Wirtz and Shaddow and Nora Taylor; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 21, 2023, at Sunset Lane Baptist Church in Guymon, OK.
Memorial donations may be made to Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry in Guymon in honor of Lynette Taylor and will be accepted at the funeral home, PO Box 1112, Guymon, OK 73942. Friends can sign the online guestbook and leave condolences at www.bunchroberts.com.
