Betty Ann Taylor age 73 of Lexington passed away unexpectedly Saturday, October 10, 2015 at Purcell Municipal Hospital. She was born December 9, 1941 in Clarita, Oklahoma. She was the youngest of four children born to Leo James and Cora Bell (Speaks). Betty grew up in the Centrahoma, Wapanuka and Clarita area. On October 22, 1956 she married Choice V. Taylor of Centrahoma, OK. Together they raised five children while living in Lexington since 1970. Betty work tirelessly as a wife, mother and homemaker. She also worked outside of the home for many years as a waitress. For many years she attended the First Baptist Church in Lexington. Betty loved being outdoors and working with her hands. She especially enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening. She also enjoyed sewing, cooking and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by: Parents, Leo and Cora Bell James; Husband, Choice Taylor, March 11, 2004; Daughter, Cheryl Jones, January 12, 2006 Two brothers, Junior and George; One sister, Opal Ramos;
She is survived by: Four children, Larry Taylor of Lexington, Steven Taylor of Lexington, Kathleen Powers of Lexington, Tara Selfridge of Purcell; Son-in-law, Harold Jones of Colorado; 14 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
There are no services at this time. Arrangements are with Wilson-Little Funeral home in Purcell.
