Pratt, Kansas – The funeral for Mary Ethel Tatro, 96, will be 10:30 AM Friday in Larrison Mortuary. The Rev. Kendall Utt will officiate. Burial will be in Maude Cemetery at Cunningham, Kansas.
She was born September 12, 1906, on a farm near Partridge to Edwin Ruppert and Cynthia Ellen Pricer Mercer and died Monday, June 16, 2003, at Friendship Manor in Pratt.
She had been a resident of Pratt since 1966, moving there from Zenda. She was a homemaker and a childcare provider. She belonged to the Methodist Church and was a member of Order of the Eastern Star in Kingman, serving as a past matron. On October 21, 1922, she married Lewis Eugene Tatro in Enid.
Surviving are four sons, Edwin E. of Pratt, William R. of Aransas pass, Texas, Franklin L. of port Aransas, Texas, and Dick of Pratt; two daughters, Reatha Clark of Enid and Louise Gould of Pratt; 27 grandchildren; 51 great – grandchildren; 37 great – great – grandchildren; and one great – great – great – grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband on March 23, 1966, one son, three brothers and two sisters.
Memorials may be made through the mortuary to South Wind Hospice or Friendship Auxiliary.
