Levi Lyle Tarr Jr.
December 24, 1942 ~ July 12, 2016

Levi Lyle Tarr Jr. died July 12, 2016, after a battle with lymphoma. He was 73 years old.

Mr. Tarr was born on December 24, 1942, in Bartlesville, OK, to his parents Levi Lyle Sr. and Susie Tarr. After his graduation from College High in Bartlesville, Mr. Tarr attended the University of Kansas, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, and then a Master's Business Administration. He met Margaret Ann Cardenas, in Bartlesville, where they were married in 1966. They had two sons, Joseph and Christopher. Mr. Tarr had a long and successful career as a software engineer for several companies in Dallas, TX. He retired from Alcatel in 2002. In 1994, Mr. Tarr married Anne Levine, and they resided in Plano, TX, for the last 21 years.

Mr. Tarr enjoyed spending time working on computers and being with friends and family. He especially enjoyed attending musicals and baseball games for his grandchildren, Emily and Evan.

Mr. Tarr is survived by his wife, Anne Tarr of Plano, TX, his son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Amy Tarr of Fort Worth, TX, his son Christopher Tarr, of Singapore, his step-daughters, Karen Cohn of Denver, CO and Judith Cohn of Jerusalem, Israel, his grandchildren, Emily Tarr and Evan Tarr of Fort Worth, TX, and his brother and sister-in-law, Terry and Jean Tarr of Centerville, OH.

Visitation will be held on July 16 from 5:00 � 7:00 at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home located at 7405 W. Northwest Highway, Dallas, TX. 75225

A memorial service will be held July 17 at 2:00 at Adat Chaverim Temple located at 6300-A Independence Parkway, Plano TX. 75023
