Frank E. Tanner who lived one mile north of this city passed into the great beyond September 22, after a lingering illness of several years. Mr. Tanner has been practically an invalid for years and has suffered greatly for many years, having undergone the surgeon's knife on several occassions and being constantly under the doctor's care.
Mr. Tanner came to this country several years ago from Chillicothe, Missouri and settled on a homestead southeast of town.
He later disposed of that place and purchased a farm north of town where he resided at the time of his demise.
He has been engaged in business a number of times in this city, but always had to suspend business on account of ill health.
Rev. Oursler, pastor of the Methodist church at this place conducted a short funeral service at the Tanner home Saturday morning before the remains were shipped to Chillicothe for interment in Calvary Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri.
Mr. Tanner leave a daughter, Miss Irene; two sons, Ralph and C. E.; and his wife to mourn his loss.
