The funeral for Donna J. Tabor 84, of Enid is 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 9, 2018, in the Henninger-Hinson Chapel. Burial in Independence, Kansas.

Visitation 6-7:00 p.m. Wedneday, August 8, 2018, in the Henninger-Hinson Chapel.

The funeral for Donna Jo Taber, 84 year-old Enid resident, will be 10:00AM Thursday August 9, 2018 in the Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Gary Goins will officiate. Burial will follow in Independence, Kansas in Mt. Hope Cemetery at 3:00PM. Services are entrusted to Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.

Donna was born December 9, 1933 in Quincy, Illinois to Joseph and Alma (Henson) Rowden and died Sunday, August 5, 2018 in Greenbrier Nursing Home. She graduated form high school in Independence with the class of 1951. On December 24, 1958, she married Marion Taber. The couple made their first home in Golden City, MO and later Sarcoxie, MO. The couple moved to Springfield, MO where they raised three children. Later in life, she attended nursing school in Alva. She practiced as a nurse in Kiowa, KS until her retirement.

Donna was a member of Bible Baptist Church. She was an avid reader, liked crochet, cross-stitch, and was very artistic. Mostly, she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Donna is survived by her three children, Debra Harlan and husband, Richard; Gena Fitzpatrick and husband, Kevin; William Taber and wife, Cheryl; six grandchildren, Rob; Tyler; Zach; Rhett; Jacob; Justin as well as four great-grandchildren, Cayley; Audrey; Hunter; Cole; and River.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers and two sisters.

Memorials may be given through Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home to Bible Baptist Church.
