Margie Lucille (Smith) Swigart
February 18, 1922 ~ November 28, 2017

 Mrs. Margie Lucille Swigart, 95, of Bartlesville, died at 5:45 A.M. on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at the Heritage Villa Nursing Center.

Funeral services for Mrs. Swigart will be held at 4 P.M. on Friday, December 1, 2017 in the Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tom Cox officiating.

Graveside services will be held at 11 A.M. Monday, December 4, 2017 at the Walnut Valley Memorial Park in El Dorado, Kansas directed by the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.

Visitation will be at the Stumpff Funeral Home from 9 AM till 8 PM on Thursday and from 9 AM until 3 PM on Friday.

A memorial fund has been established and those who wish may send their contributions to the Boy's & Girls Club, 401 S. Seminole, Bartlesville, Oklahoma, 74003.

Mrs. Swigart was born at El Dorado, Kansas on February 18, 1922 the daughter of Stamon and Mamie L. (King) Smith.

 She grew up and received her education in El Dorado and graduated from El Dorado High School in 1941. After graduation Margie worked at the North American Bomber Plant in Kansas City as a secretary. She was married to Harold "Bud" Swigart on January 6, 1945 at a Baptist church in Kansas City, Kansas. Following Mr. Swigart's military service they returned to El Dorado to Make their home. Margie went to work for K-T Corp., El Dorado, KS in 1948 in the accounting department. She was an active member of Butler County Desk & Derrick. After retiring from KT (34 years) she went to work for Dr. Mark Stoskopf DDS as office manager in El Dorado, Kansas. She retired in late 1998 and moved to Bartlesville, OK in January 1999. Margie was active in the First Baptist Church senior programs and loved to travel.

Mrs. Swigart is survived by one son, Ron Swigart and wife Jan of Bartlesville, a granddaughter, Patty Beets and husband Bob of Bartlesville, a great granddaughter, Taylor Beets of OSU at Stillwater, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Stamon and Mamie Smith, her husband, Harold "Bud" Swigart on February 11, 1981, a daughter, Pamela Swigart, a granddaughter, Angie Swigart, and three brothers, Harland Smith, Harold "Bud" Smith and Richard Smith.
