Marvin Leon "Marv" Swears
June 25, 1938 ~ January 20, 2019

Marvin Leon "Marv" Swears of Kingston, OK passed away Sunday, January 20, 2019 in Durant at the age of 80. He was born on June 25, 1938 in Muskegon, Michigan to Stanley Swears and Marcella (Jorrison) Swears.

Marv grew up in Michigan where he met the love of his life, Janice Sturgeon. They spent many wonderful years together. They then relocated to Colorado. After living in Colorado for some years, they found their way to Kingston, OK where they have called home for the past 25 years. He was employed in the construction industry as a Journeyman Glazier for many years and was a long- time member of the Union. Marv practiced Catholicism and enjoyed boating, hunting, and fishing.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

He leaves behind a family that will miss him dearly.

Survivors include his wife Janice Swears; 2 sons, Sam Swears and wife Cheryl, Joe Swears and 1 daughter Kelly Swanson; 4 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, 1 sister and many other extended family members and dear friends.

There are no services planned at this time.
