Edgar D. Swartwood

June 13, 1919 ~ 1993

Funeral services for Edgar D. Swartwood were conducted on Thursday, March 18, 1993 a the Hampton Vaughan Chapel in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Edgar D. Swartwood was born June 13, 1919 in Rocky, Oklahoma to F. G. and Kate Swartwood.

He grew up in Roger Mills County and graduated from Cheyenne High School.

He worked in the theater for Elmer Rook before entering the military service during World War II. He served in the South Pacific.

He married Emaline Weatherford in 1945 at Wichita Falls, Texas where he worked as a motion picture projectionist.

He was a member of the Highland Heights Baptist Church and International Allicance of Theatrical Stage Employees.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and three brothers.

Survivors include his wife, two daughters, Luane of Carrollton, Texas; and Donna King of Plano, Texas; a twin brother, Everett of Reydon, Oklahoma and three grandchildren.

Burial took place in Riverside Cemetery, Wichita Falls, Texas.
