Memorial services for Rick Swart, 73 will be 10:00 AM Monday March 8, 2021 at the First Baptist Church of Hennessey. Cremation arrangements are by Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home.
Rick was born in Enid on November 4, 1947 to Vernon Ivan and Pearl Marguarita Paulsen Swart and died Thursday February 25, 2021 at St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Enid.
Rick graduated from Lacy High School and farmed in the Lacy area. He married Dora Lee Hoskins in August 1965 and later married Jenae Crosswhite Minton in Hennessey on June 4, 1982.
Rick was a member of First Baptist Church, Lacy Community Card Group, and The Morning Breakfast and Coffee Group.
He is survived by his wife Jenae of the home; three sons Richard Gene Swart and wife Karen, Aaron Swart and wife Jan, all of Hennessey, Randy Minton and wife Becky of Waukomis; one daughter Lisa Binger and husband Jason of Rogers, Arkansas; eight grandchildren Abby Swart, Cole Swart, Macy Swart, Mady Swart, Ryan Minton, Rylie Minton, Christian Binger, Briana Binger and Brendon Binger; one sister-in-law Diane Swart of Hennessey; one niece Holly and one nephew Chad.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Charles Swart.
Memorial donations may be made in his name to Hennessey Senior Citizens Center, Lacy Community Center or the charity of donor’s choice with the funeral home serving as custodian of the fund.
