Linda Swanson
May 29, 1953 ~ February 5, 2025

Linda passed away peacefully on February 5, 2025, at the age of 71. Born on May 29, 1953, she dedicated her life to serving others with compassion, strength, and an unwavering sense of self.

For 25 years, Linda worked at the Oklahoma Department of Human Services, specializing in the care of individuals with developmental disabilities. She served as an Independent Living Instructor at NORCE before becoming the Activity Director at Supported Community Lifestyles. In that role, she ran a nonprofit bookstore and leisure program for individuals with special needs, creating opportunities for learning, growth, and connection. Her dedication to her work left a lasting impact on many lives.

Outside of her profession, Linda was an exceptional homemaker, a gifted visual artist, and a lover of nature. She grew the most beautiful flowers and had an undeniable presence, always bold, fearless, and true to herself no matter the room. Her charisma and charm were unmatched, making her not just a friend but a best friend to many. Loyal to the core, she was a force to be reckoned with.

A devoted Christian, Linda lived her faith through kindness, resilience, and love. She is survived by her husband, Gerry Swanson; her sons, Joshua Schultz and Wesley Schultz; and a large, loving family in Texas, including many grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Matthew Frazier, and her grandson Tony Rodriquez III.

Linda's legacy is one of strength, loyalty, and boundless love. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those whose lives she touched.
