Mary Ann Swanner

Mary Ann Swanner
December 13, 1936 - July 20, 2017

Mary Ann Swanner was born to Farrell and Flossie Wildman in Decatur, Nebraska on December 13, 1936. She went home with Jesus on July 20, 2017. She was 80 years young. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marcus Ray Swanner and a daughter, Rhonda Lynn Swanner. She lived much of her life in Gorman, Texas which is where she and Ray raised their daughters. She retired from the DeLeon Hospital in DeLeon, Texas in 2003 and moved to Elgin, Oklahoma to become Mimi to Marcus Glynn Johnston, her only grandchild. In 2010, we bought land and two homes in Dibble, Oklahoma where she lived until her death.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Swanner; her daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Bill Johnston; her grandson, Marcus Johnston, all of Dibble; and by her only sibling Melvin Wildman who lives in Decatur, Nebraska.

Mary was a loving momma and Mimi to our family and we will miss her beyond what words can say. Her grandson was everything to her and she was everything to him. She is the most loving, courageous, and strong woman that we have ever known and there will be a large part of our lives that will missing for years to come. We love you Mimi!

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard. Online obituary and guestbook are available at www.eisenhourfh.com.
