SCOTT LYNN SWAN, oldest of three children born to Gary William and Muriel Joyce (Colclazier) Swan, was born August 1, 1963. He died Monday, April 15, 2013 at West Houston Medical Center in Houston, Texas at the age of 49 years.
Scott graduated from Seiling High School with the class of 1981. He furthered his education at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford where he graduated in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology-Specialization in Electronics. Following graduation from college, Scott was employed by General Electric as a Field Service Engineer, installing and maintaining CT Scanning x-ray equipment in Oklahoma City and later in Enid.
He was united in marriage to Sharla Lynette Duffy, May 16, 1986. Two daughters were born to this marriage, Danielle Alecia born April 24, 1990 and Taylor Renae born October 28, 1998. In 1994, Scott moved his family to Houston, Texas where he continued to work as a Field Service Engineer for various companies for the remainder of his career.
Scott enjoyed family activities, hunting, fishing and Martial Arts training during his leisure time.
He is survived by his daughters, Danielle Carder and husband Tyler of Oklahoma City and Taylor Swan of Seiling, his parents, Gary and Joyce Swan of Coldspring, TX, his brother, Brad Swan and wife Julie and their son Joseph of Las Vegas, NV, his sister, Melissa Swearingen and husband Randy and their children Broderick and Reagan of Montgomery, TX. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Donald and Clara Colclazier and Ralph and Irene Swan.
