Opal T. Swagerty, 92, of Tuttle, Oklahoma died Saturday, September 11, at the Tuttle Care Center in Tuttle, OKlahoma.
Born November 5, 1911, in Madison County, Arkansas, she was the daughter of William G. Thomas and Sarah Ellen Ferguson Thomas.
She was a homemaker and lived in the Northwest Arkansas area since 1965.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Swagerty in 1995; three sisters, Pearl Simpson, Esta Thomas, and Lulu Lester; and two brothers, Alvin Thomas and Earl Thomas.
Survivors include one son, Gary Swagerty of Amarillo, Texas; and two sisters, Hazel Thomas of Tuttle, Oklahoma and Muriel Biby of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 15, 2004 at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, Arkansas, with Dr. David Bush officiating.
Burial will follow at the Prairie Grove Cemetery, Prairie Grove, Arkansas.
Visitation was 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 14, at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
Arrangements are under the direction of Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
