Roger Glenn Sullivan

Roger Glenn Sullivan
May 24, 1953 ~ June 27, 2020 (age 67)

Roger Glenn Sullivan was born on May 24th, 1953 to George and Ezma (Sowards) Sullivan in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was the third of seven children. In his 67th season, Roger traveled to eternal rest on the afternoon of June 27th, 2020 in Oklahoma City, OK.

Roger was a graduate of Will Rogers High School in Tulsa, OK. He earned a Master’s degree in social work and worked as a clinical social worker for the Army, Air Force, and State of Oklahoma. Roger was a Captain in the US Army for nearly 19 years, during which time he spent 368 days deployed in South Korea. Roger also served in the US Air Force for another 2 years, where he also served as an Assistant Chaplain.

Roger was a beloved and loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was an ordained deacon at Hope Adventist Fellowship in Moore, OK, under the pastorship of Kevin Bruce. He enjoyed singing in church as a song leader and performer with an anointed voice that mesmerized all who heard it.

Roger leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Mary Joe (Lang) Sullivan, brothers Don Sullivan (Mary) of Tulsa, OK and Jeff Sullivan (Tamara) of Phoenix, AZ, sisters Karen Sullivan, Marsha Lowery, and Laura Sullivan of Tulsa, OK, son Brett Sullivan of Edmond, OK, daughter-in-law Jinfeng Zhang, grandchildren Julia and Dean Sullivan, niece Deanna (Len) Villalon of Broken Arrow, OK, and nephews Philip, Bryan, and Wesley Sullivan of Phoenix, AZ.

He was preceded in death by his father George Sullivan, mother Ezma Sullivan, brother Barry Sullivan, and son Zachary Sullivan.
