Services for Lois Marie Stone Sullivan, 77, of Carrollton, Texas, and formerly of Calera, who passed away on Friday, March 27, 2009, at her home will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 30, at Brown's Funeral Service Chapel. Travis Huffman of Calera Church of Christ will officiate.
Marie was born February 22, 1932, in Terry County, Texas to Marion Byron and Dessie Mae Banks Stone.
She married Orvis Eldon Sullivan on May 22, 1948, in Seagraves, Texas, and they were blessed with four children.
She worked as a hairdresser and in real estate.
She moved with her family to Calera in 1988 from Brownfield, Texas, and was a member of the Calera Church of Christ and she enjoyed quilting, sewing, fishing, reading and spending time with family and friends. Marie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eldon Sullivan; and brothers, Roy and Robert Stone.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Carol Halbrooks and husband Frank of Joshua, Texas, Patty Sullivan of Carrollton, Texas, Bobbie McCain and husband Mike of Plano, Texas and son, Jerry Sullivan of Carrollton, Texas; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and other relatives and a host of dear and loved friends.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m.
