Carroll Ann Sturm passed away suddenly Thursday, September 9th, 2017 with her family surrounding her. She was a lifetime resident of Bartlesville. Carroll was best known as Mom, Mums, Aunt Carroll, Meemaw, or Grammie. The family will be receiving friends Tuesday, September 12th from 3:30 – 6:00 p.m. at the Bartlesville Community Center for a come-and-go celebration of her life. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Walker Brown Funeral Home.
Carroll Ann Sturm was born September 27th 1942 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma to Marshall W. and Evelyn (Northcutt) Bennett. She was an entrepreneur who owned several businesses in Bartlesville throughout her life, most recently Carroll's Real Estate. Her life revolved around her family, especially her grandchildren. She relished attending their school and sporting events, taking them on trips and having them over to her house almost daily for Grammie's after school care and every weekend for sleepovers. She will always be remembered for her absolute unconditional love and her passionate desire to serve others.
Carroll was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Philip Bennett and her step-son Donnie Sturm.
She is survived by her husband, Don "Butch" Sturm, her daughter, Lisa Covey and sons Christopher Covey and Philip Covey and wife Theresa and sons Todd and Tyler, her son, Gary Lorenz and wife Shannon of Houston, TX and daughter Denise Marquez and husband JC and sons Matthew and Daniel Marquez, her step-children, Bill Sturm and wife Deanna and children Jacob and Samantha, of Ft. Worth, TX, Kelli Sturm and children Lacey, Erin, Terah, and Clay, Joe Sturm and wife Julie and children Noah, Grace and Owen, step-grandchildren Jennifer Harley of Las Vegas and Haden Sturm of Owasso, and several nieces, nephews, cousins and great-grandchildren.
