Shawn Duane Stuever, age 50 of Washington, passed away, Saturday, July 25, 2020, surrounded by his loving family.
Shawn was born February 2, 1970 in Charlottesville, Virginia, one of two children born to Duane and Carolyn Stuever. He was raised primarily in Washington where he attended school, graduating with the Warrior Class of 1988. While in school, he was active in all sports, and especially loved football.
He married his high school sweetheart, Charity Deason and they raised five children, daughters, Courtney, Kelsey and Shelby and sons, Tyler and Trevor.
Shawn has always worked around cars and trucks and boats. He had a keen understanding in the art of repair and restoration. He first worked for a body shop in Norman, followed by stops at Norris Marine and then Hibdon Tire. For the last several years, he has worked for Ron’s Automotive in Norman.
When he wasn’t working, you could probably find him on the golf course, or fishing his favorite spot. He was a family man first; he cherished his girls, loved watching his boys play football, and he was so very proud to become a Papa to Stella, Gunner and Gatlen. Shawn was a fighter, and remained positive in spite of his many health challenges. He will be remembered forever for his love of God, his love of family and his love for life.
