Gary Irl Stroud, 71, passed away July 13, 2013. Gary was born April 11, 1942 in Wichita, KS to Irl and Marcella Stroud.
Gary was baptized at the age of 13 at the Sheridan Avenue Church of Christ in Tulsa, OK. Gary was an example of what a son, husband, father, grandfather and brother should be. He took care of his family and always put them first. His hobbies included golf, fishing, antiquing, playing cards, working in the yard, and going to the casino playing the slots, but his favorite hobby was playing poker with the boys for chips and pride. He started out his working career at Boeing in Wichita, KS, then Fleming in Joplin, MO. He started Stroud Body Shop with his dad and spent many years as a business owner and was self employed.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years: Sharon Kay, 3 sons: Greg Stroud, James Andy Stroud and wife Deborah, David Stroud; grandchildren: Nick Stroud, Brittany Stroud, Andrea Stroud, Allie Stroud; 3 sisters: Linda Francisco and husband Gene, Luci Hilliard and husband Ronnie, Becky Woodward and husband Garry; 3 sister in laws: Glenna Reding and husband Herb, Beverly Johnson, Linda Clary and husband Richard.
Preceded in death by parents, brother in law, Ronnie Johnson.
