The Memorial services celebrating and honoring the life of Glen Leon Strickland, 65, of Waukomis, will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday March 29, 2023 in the Waukomis Christian Church with Pastor David Jones officiating. Complete cremation care and services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
Glen was born August 19, 1957 to Elmer and Thelma Lyndsey Strickland in Oswego, Kansas and passed from this life March 23, 2023 in Enid, Oklahoma.
He was raised and educated in Oswego Kansas. He married Kem Moncrieff on November 22, 1974, in Montague, Texas. He worked as a Sheet Metal Mechanic for twenty-eight years until 2011 when he had his liver transplant. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing with his family, yard work, and anything grandkid related.
He is survived by his wife Kem Strickland, of the home, one son Gabe and Nadia Strickland, of Enid, OK; daughter Aquila Foster, of Enid, OK; his grandchildren, Jastun, Gavin, Brayden, Isabella, Maritza, and Makenzie, one great grandson, Xy’ree; one sister Naomi Carter and one brother, Larry Strickland.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Eric, both parents, four sisters, and four brothers.
Memorials may be made in his honor to the Waukomis Christian Church with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
