On Thursday, July 18th, 2024, Mattie Sue Streeter went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She passed away after a long illness associated with heart disease.
Mattie (Sue) was born March 7th, 1937, in Prague, Oklahoma to E.E. Thompson and Grace Bell Thompson. They later moved to Ponca City, and she graduated from Ponca City High School in 1955. She married Glenn E. Streeter on June 26th, 1955, and they raised their two children in Ponca City. They were married 61 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Dale Thompson and wife Virginia, and Jim Thompson, niece Sherrie Thompson Coy, brother in laws Don Streeter, and Jack Streeter and wife Judy, nieces Kim Davis, Caroline Chambers and husband David, Kathy Streeter Pettigrew, and Kristin Streeter.
She leaves behind her daughter Debbie Streeter Robertson and husband Dennis, her son Bryan Streeter of Ponca City, Oklahoma. She is also survived by 3 granddaughters, Jamie Winze and husband Dennis of Ponca City, Oklahoma, Holly Drake and husband Gary of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, and Kelly Orozco and husband David of Ponca City, Oklahoma, and Carl Robertson, and step-grandson Vernon Robertson and wife Xenia. Great-grandchildren Jonathan Kent, Grace Tattershall and husband Michael, Alyssa Kent, Haley Kent, Blake Orozco, Kaleb Drake, Tanner Drake and wife Alexis, Zachary Dake, and Gavin Drake all of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, and step great-granddaughter Xara Paz. Great-great-grandchildren Jasper Tattershall, Xander Tattershall, and Calliope Tattershall.
A memorial service will be held at Christs Church, 1001 W Boaz St, Newkirk, Oklahoma, 74647, on Tuesday, July 30th, 2024, at 10:30 am.
