Cathy Ann Gonterman Strain, longtime resident of Ponca City, passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at the Ponca City Medical Center. She was 55 years of age.
Cathy was born August 24, 1955 in Ponca City, the daughter of Everett Gonterman and Sharon Bradley Gonterman. She was a 1974 graduate of Ponca City High School. She was married to Loyd Michael Strain Sr. on August 14, 2002 in Miami, Oklahoma. Her enjoyments were her two grandchildren, crocheting, reading and working picture puzzles. She was also very fond of her pet Dachshund Angel.
She is survived by her daughter, Angela Neufeld and husband, Cory, of Ponca City two grandchildren, Greysen and Gillien Neufeld her parents, Everett and Sharon Gonterman, Springfield, Missouri two brothers, Kenneth Gonterman and John Gonterman and wife, Kelly, and one sister, Rena Capps, all of Springfield. She was preceded in death by her husband her paternal grandparents, Edward and Gladys Gonterman and maternal grandparents, Roy and Mary Bradley.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 26, 2011 at Grace Memorial Chapel.
