Caren Colleen Storck (Cochran), 77, was born November 8th, 1940 in Caldwell, KS to Everett and LaVetta Cochran. She left this earth on Sunday October 28th, 2018. Caren grew up on a farm southeast of Caldwell, KS with her brother and sister. She professed her faith at the age of 12 in Deer Creek, OK. She graduated from Deer Creek High School in 1959. She then moved to Blackwell, OK where she worked as a nurse aid. She met Ken Storck in 1959 at a gospel meeting. They married on February 21st, 1962 and had their first home in Okmulgee, OK. They later moved to OKC in 1963 where they raised their three children.
Caren had a kind heart and would give the shirt off her back. She had fond memories of helping her parents and siblings on the farm. She loved spending time with family and friends and enjoyed playing Rook for hours. Caren was always passionate about helping and caring for others and worked for many years in the medical/phlebotomy field. She loved reading her bible and attending Sunday morning meetings and Wednesday bible studies. Her family and faith meant everything to her.
Caren is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Kenneth George Storck of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; daughter, Dana Colleen Myers of Apple Valley, California; sons, LaRon Mark Storck of Apple Valley, California, and Larry Wayne Storck of Mustang, Oklahoma; brother, J.E. and wife Deborah Cochran of Caldwell, Kansas; sister, Yvonne and husband Doug Harrington of Elk City, Oklahoma; and grandchildren, Caily, Kelsey, and Chase Myers. She is also survived by three nephews and three nieces.
Caren is preceded in death by father Everett Cochran and mother LaVetta Cochran.
A memorial is scheduled for 5:00 p.m., Friday, November 2nd in the Southern Hills Elementary School at 7800 S. Kentucky Ave., Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, with a reception to follow. Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 3rd in the Caldwell Cemetery in Caldwell, Kansas, with a reception to follow in Caldwell.
Casketbearers will be LaRon Storck, Larry Storck, Kevin Harrington, Lance Cochran, Kendall Harrington, Chase Myers and J. E. Cochran.
