Shirley Vetha (Trantham) Stone
October 25, 1935 ~ April 5, 2025

Shirley Vetha Stone, 89 of Tecumseh, passed away Saturday, April 5, 2025.

She was born October 25, 1935 in Dibble, Oklahoma to Willie and Emma (Isbell) Trantham. As a child her family moved to Five Points, CA where she was raised.

Shirley married James L. Stone on June 6, 1953 in Yuba City, California.

She worked as a bus driver and custodian, for Westside Elementary school for 27 years, before retiring. After retirement she moved to Oklahoma in 2016. She served as a Cub Scouts den mother. She enjoyed doll houses, sewing, baking, road trips, and family reunions. Her greatest accomplishments were getting an education and raising her family.

Shirley is preceded in death by; her parents; her husband; James L. Stone; and her two brothers, Donald Trantham, and Doyle Trantham.

Those left to cherish her memories are; daughter, Emma "Tinker" Cisneros and husband George of Shawnee; son, Bill Stone and wife Marilyn of Tecumseh; son, James Stone and wife Diane of Maud; daughter, Mary Tucker of Tecumseh; son, Keith Stone of Tecumseh; son, Larry Stone and wife Valerie of Newalla; seventeen grandchildren; numerous great and great-great grandchildren; brother, Richard Trantham of Tecumseh and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and many friends from Heritage Skilled Nursing Center.

Memorial Service will be 2:00 PM, Saturday April 12, 2025 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor George Cisneros officiating, under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
