Phyllis Ann "Pam" (McMahan) Stone was born on August 19, 1954 in Okemah, to Madelyn and Philip McMahan. She left to be with her Lord on Nov. 23, 2015.
Pam married Ronald Garrie Stone on Oct. 22, 1975, in Waukomis. They just celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary. Out of their union came two beautiful daughters, Heather and Kindann.
Pam graduated with both a bachelor�s degree and master�s degree in speech pathology from Phillips University. She taught in the public school system for 29 years in Anthony, Harper, and Attica, Kan., and Medford and Enid. After her retirement in 2006, she became an avid antique and furniture refinisher, which became the joy of her life. In her words, �she gave new life to old pieces.�
Pam loved the peace and tranquility of the farm she shared with Ron, which was homesteaded by Ron�s great-grandfather and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Pam is survived by her husband Ron; her daughters Heather Stone Capelle and her husband, Peter Capelle of Mamaroneck, N.Y., and Kindann Stone Barahona and her husband, Felipe Barahona of Cabot, Ark.; five grandchildren, Lucas Philip Capelle, Spencer Elizabeth Capelle, Erika Barahona, Alessandra Barahona and Luis Fernando Barahona; her father, Philip McMahan; brothers Craig McMahan and Brett McMahan and sister Jeannie McMahan, all of Okemah.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Madelyn McMahan.
Honorary pallbearers are Steve Miller, Les Overton, Chris Thomas, Dusty and Erika Gibson and Crystal McCracken.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Pam McMahan Stone memorial scholarship fund, which has been set up in her name at the First National Bank of Nash.
A memorial service in celebration of Pam�s life will be 2 p.m. Friday, November 27, 2015 at at the Nash Christian Church. The Rev. Richard Craven will officiate. Arrangements by Wilson Funeral Home in Pond Creek.
