Wesley Von Stinson

October 21, 1934 ~ May 29, 1999

WESLEY VON STINSON - Services for Wesley Von Stinson, 64, were at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in Resthaven Chapel, Oklahoma City.

Born October 21, 1934, at Greenville, Mr. Stinson died May 29, 1999, at his home in Oklahoma City. He was the son of Wesley and Beatrice Stinson.

A 1953 graduate of Greenville High School, Mr. Stinson married Jearlene Courtney in Marietta in December 1953. After making their home in the Ardmore area for 10 years, they moved to Oklahoma City in 1964 where he worked for Gulfstream Aerospace as an Inventory Control Expeditor. Mr. Stinson enjoyed his work there and even built miniature replicas of many of the Corporate Jets he helped manufacture. He was also a part-time artist and created many paintings for his own private collection.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Jearlene Stinson of the home in Oklahoma City; his mother, Mrs. Beatrice Stinson of Ardmore; a daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Carlton Parton of Edmond; a son, Ron Stinson of Oklahoma City; four brothers, Harold Stinson of Ardmore, Billy Stinson of Wilson, Bobby Stinson of Falconhead and Pat Stinson of Garland, Texas; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Mr. Stinson was preceded in death by his father, Wesley Stinson on June 14, 1979.
