Marion Stinson, of Blue, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2023, in Durant, Oklahoma, at the age of 80. He was born on March 16, 1943, in Blue, Oklahoma, to Thurman Alman and Bernice Ulene (McManus) Stinson. On August 28, 1964, Marion married the love of his life, Norma Sanders in Durant, Oklahoma.
Marion was a lifelong resident of the area. He graduated from Blue High School and soon after began a career that would span many years at Gray's Sawmill. His skills as a mechanic were well-known and respected in the community. Marion enjoyed the outdoors and hunting. The singing voice of his beloved wife, Norma, brought Marion the most joy. Their partnership was a testament to enduring love and mutual support.
Marion's legacy is carried on by his devoted wife, Norma Stinson of Durant; his son, Mark Edward Stinson of Durant; his daughter, Beverly Miller and her husband, Gary, of Durant; his son, Allen Bradley Stinson of Durant; his brother, William Stinson of Durant; his sister, Mary Ellen Owens and husband Richard of Stillwater; and also, his two grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Thurman Alman and Bernice Ulene (McManus) Stinson; his sisters, Dinah Thomas, and Betty Malaney; and his brothers, James Stinson and John Stinson.
