James (Jim) David Stingley, 68, took his last breath on earth and moved to Heaven on Sunday, April 14, 2019.

Jim was born in Ponca City, OK on August 24, 1950 to Jim and Betty Stingley. He graduated from Ponca City High School in 1968, attended Oklahoma State University, was a member of Delta Chi Fraternity and served as their Treasurer in 1970. His college education was interrupted by the Vietnam war where he served as a Personal Assistant to a Colonel and was stationed in Germany. He had the opportunity to travel Europe during his service. After his military service, Jim graduated from OSU with a Business Degree and moved to Tulsa, OK. He lived at "The Last Resort" with friends and fraternity brothers. Jim worked in the Banking and Oil u0026 Gas Industry. Tiring of city life, he moved to his parent's farm where he started farming and ranching and also worked at the Ponca City Refinery.

In 1995 he met and married Paula and in 1996 was the very proudest father of their son, Sam. He was a very engaged father and devoted much of his time to his family. He found himself coaching soccer, baseball and basketball and enjoying many kids running thru the house. Jim loved being on his boat where he could fish or just cruise. Golf was a love/hate relationship and he took up gardening. He was a great cook, grocery shopper and had the warmest hands.

Jim was kind, warm and quick to laugh. He was adored, admired and respected and will always be loved and missed by Paula, Sam, sisters Suzy and Joy as well as all of his relatives, in laws and friends.

A celebration of his life will be held at the Carolyn Renfro Event Center, 445 Fairview Ave., Ponca City, OK 74601, at 10:30am on Friday, April 19th, 2019.
