April Dawn Stewart

April Dawn Stewart
August 17, 1979 ~ June 26, 2024

April Dawn Stewart passed away on June 26, 2024. April was born in Frederick, Oklahoma on August 17, 1979 to Richard and Donna Stewart. She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Buck and Margie Birdwell, her maternal grandparents, Bernice and John Wright, her son Damion Bates and her aunt Norma Stewart.

She leaves behind beautiful memories in the hearts of many people. She is survived by two sons, Taylor Stewart and Adrian Stewart, her parents, Rick and Donna Stewart, one sister Misty Butts and her husband Eric. She leaves behind one beautiful granddaughter, that she thought the world of, Allison Hair Stewart.

She is survived by 3 nieces, Matti, Lilli, and Alli Butts, many aunts, uncles, and cousins: Kathy Addington, Connie and Taz Wright, Ricky and Christine Wright, James and Carolyn Buxton, and Ronnie and Lynda Jones. Cousins, Chris and Kim Peery, Jose and Jennifer Caballero, Dakota and Amber Wright, Dillon Edwards, Nathan Jones, Brooke and Nathan Brumley, Robert and Monica Buxton, James and Kristi Edgar, and Angela Edgar Lewis.

It was a special privilege to have been April's mom for 44 years. She was a beautiful person inside and out. She always felt that her weight made her ugly. It didn't, it just made her inner beauty shine. That is why she loved animals more than people, because they saw the real person. They didn't care that she was overweight or had other problems. They loved her unconditionally. She thought the world of her boys. She always felt that she was a disappointment to them, but she would have done anything for them. April didn't have many friends because of trust issues. But she had one true friend, who was always there for her, Ami Ledbetter Gleason. She saw the true April. I wish that everyone could have known April like I did. She was such a large part of my life and I will miss her terribly.
