Abe Stewart of Ponca City passed away in Oklahoma City with his family by his side. He was 41 years of age. Abe was born on March 19, 1976 in Ponca City, Oklahoma to Ted A. Stewart and Susan M. Davis Stewart. Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 27, 2017 in the Faith Tabernacle Church with Pastor Don Stanton officiating. Cremation arrangements are in the care of Grace Memorial Chapel of Ponca City, OK. Memorial contribution may be made in his name to The Habitat for Humanity 117 W. Central Ponca City, OK 74601. Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Hand, Trey Thompson, Mike Meadows and Eric Rains.
Abe grew up in Ponca City and he graduated from Po High in 1994. Abe decided to service his country so in 1999 he joined the United States Air Force which he served during Desert Storm and Afghanistan. Upon his discharge in 2005 he returned to Ponca City area where he enjoyed riding his Bicycle with his Dog in his backpack, he also enjoyed Scuba diving, reading, working with his hands on computers, spending time with his family and Entertaining friends and when his grandmother was ill he cared for her until her passing.
Survivors include: mother; Susan Scott and husband Randy of Ponca City, Ok; father; Ted Stewart and wife Carolyn of Sand Springs, OK; 3 brothers; Jeremy Stewart and wife Becky of Portland, OR; Andy Stewart and wife Kristin of Arlington, TX; Todd Stewart and wife Shauna of Sand Springs, OK 1 sister; Trenee Edmisten and husband Derek of Ponca City, OK 5 nephews and 1 niece and several Aunts and Uncles. Also surviving was his faithful companion Ursula his Chihuahua.
Abe was preceded in death by his grandparents.
