The memorial service for Bill J. Stevens is 11 a.m. Saturday, June 24, 2017, in the Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Bud Shore will officiate.

Bill was born Feb. 1, 1946, in Wilmar, Calif., to Naomi Frank and Williston Stevens and passed away, after a brief illness, on June 17, 2017, in Enid.

Bill was raised by his grandmother, Margaret C. Stevens. He graduated from Baldwin Park High School in California with the class of 1965.

He married Mary Grace Freeman in May of 1964, and had two daughters, Margaret and Dawn. Bill moved to Enid in 1968 and lived here the rest of his life.

He married Barbara Kittley in 1985. Together, they raised two sons, Doug and Gentry. They remained married until her death in 2010.

In 2011 he met Shari (Smith) Epps; they were married Sept. 24, 2011. Bill worked at various jobs in construction, as a gas station manager and in route sales before becoming an insurance salesman, a job he loved for 30 years, until his retirement due to heath issues.

He loved antique and classic cars, and owned many in his lifetime.

Bill was preceded in death by his grandmother and parents, by his second wife Barbara, and his brother Rocky Moody, and by one grandchild.

He is survived by his beloved wife Shari of the home; by four daughters, Margaret Williams and husband Aaron of Lahoma, Dawn Stevens, Bethany Epps, and Mariah Epps and husband Karmaal Dorsey, all of Enid.

Four sons, Gentry Stevens, USAF, stationed at Dover, Del., Doug Stevens and wife Jennifer of Enid, Tony Cross and wife Jessa of Burkburnett, Texas, and Jordan Epps of Grant's Pass, Ore., Also by the daughter of his and Shari's hearts, Jenny Rose of Clayton. He was loved and will be greatly missed by 20 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to either the Michael J. Fox Foundation, or
4RKids, with Henninger-Hinson acting as custodians of the fund.
