Memorial services for Lois J. Steudeman, 90, of Marietta were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, in the First Christian Church of Marietta with Reverend Sharen Hale officiating.
Born September 15, 1928 at Leon, the daughter of Alvin Henry and Maggie Sue McBride Holland, she died Saturday, March 2, 2019 in Mercy Health Love County, Marietta.
Mrs. Steudeman had been a resident of Leon and Marietta most of her life. She attended school at Batson and Leon and then operated an "in home" day care and also cooked at the Hub Restaurant in Marietta many years. Lois enjoyed visiting with friends and family, especially her grandchildren. She attended Marietta's First Christian Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents; two husbands, John Tom and Otis Rackley; children, Johnnie Jenelle Howard, A.J. Tom, and Kenneth Tom; two brothers, Melton Holland and Bill Holland; four sisters, Alva Mae Holland, Ada Robinson, Juanita Parker, and Geneva Strickland; great-granddaughter, Alex Holland; and a great-grandson, Jeffrey Tom.
Survivors include a son, Charles E. Hudson, Jr. of Marietta; brother, Jack Holland and wife Juanita of Burneyville; sister, Bernice Berry of the Falconhead community; eight grandchildren, Ricky Baker, Terry Baker, Morgan Hudson, Alex Hudson, Kimberly Musgrove, Brandy Holland, Bridgett Holland, and Jeffrey Tom; 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
