Keith Lynn Sterling, born on October 31, 1951, in Durant, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2024, at the age of 72, surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his two sons, David Sterling, and his wife, Nikki, of Edmond, Oklahoma; and, Jared Sterling, and his wife, Sierra, of Edmond, Oklahoma, along with his cherished grandchildren, Alex, Brayden, Ryder, and Kingston Sterling.
Keith is also survived by his brother, Brent Sterling, and sister-in-law, Shauna, of Fayetteville, Arkansas; his sisters, Claireece Borin, of Henryetta, Oklahoma, and, Paula Oliver, of Madill, Oklahoma, along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Pauline and Clarence Sterling.
Keith majored in electronics at Southeastern Oklahoma State University where he was a member of Sigma Tau Gamma Mu Chapter. A passionate and adventurous spirit, Keith embraced life with enthusiasm. He loved karate, rebuilding classic cars, and skiing in the mountains. Racing cars, boats and the thrill of speed brought him immense joy. A devoted sports fan, he enjoyed watching OU football and cheering for the Dallas Cowboys. An incredibly hard worker, Keith was an amazing provider who tirelessly ensured the well-being of his loved ones. His hands could build or fix just about anything, showcasing his remarkable skills and determination.
Strong and resilient, Keith faced health challenges with unwavering courage. He survived a stem cell transplant and its many complications for twelve years. His spirit remained unbroken, and he continued to inspire those around him.
Keith will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy of strength and tenacity will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. As we celebrate his life, we remember the laughter, the adventures, and the enduring love he shared with us all.
Rest in peace, Keith. We love you and will miss you dearly!
The family will receive friends at his Family Hour from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home.
