Jerry Raymond Stein, resident of Ponca City, OK, passed away Wednesday, September 6, 2017, in Oklahoma City. He was 74 years old. 

Jerry was born on September 13, 1942 in Fay, Oklahoma to Clarence and Lorraine Stein. He attended school in Clinton, OK, Bethany, OK, and graduated high school from Putnam City, OK. He continued his education at Central State University. Jerry married Billye Jean Barber on June 9, 1962 in Oklahoma City, OK and they were married for 55 years. They moved to Ponca City, OK in 1967 with their children and opened Ponca Glass, which has been in business for over 50 years. 

Jerry was member of the local Jaycee's, a lifetime member of the AMBUC's, and was local president and national Mr. AMBUC in 1976 He enjoyed working the sports car races, the rodeo, and the motocross races. He was also a member of the local Wednesday morning tippers group. 

Jerry enjoyed spending time with his family and walking his dog. His most recent hobbies (included but were not limited to) working on cars, wood working, mowing with his tractors, listening to music, collecting vinyl records, watching movies, photography, going to the zoo, and enjoying his antique toys. 

Jerry is survived by his wife, Billye Stein of Ponca City, OK; daughter, Tammye Rogers and husband Bill of Perkins, OK; son, Tim Stein and wife Wanda of Ponca City, OK; grandchildren, Chacye Vance of Stillwater, OK; Blake Dawes and Shelbee of Edmond, OK; Courtney Stein and fiancĂ© Ben Kline of Oklahoma City, OK; Jeremy Stein and fiancĂ© Holly Roehl of Ponca City, OK; Hunter Stein of Ponca City, OK; Forrest Rogers of Davis, CA; great grandchildren, Allye Bible of Stillwater, OK; Austin Lewis of Stillwater, OK; Isaiah Baca of Perkins, OK; sisters, Jo Ann Kerran of Oklahoma City, OK; Jeannie Black and husband Larry of Edmond, OK; Janet Kay Smith and husband David of Waco, TX; June Woodard and husband Alan of Oklahoma City, OK; family friends, Jordan and Haley Lewis, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. 

A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00pm, Saturday, September 16, at St. Luke's Church of the Nazarene, 1715 E Prospect Ave, Ponca City, OK, pastor John Waterloo of Central Baptist Church will be officiating. The service will be casual dress.

A private family service was held September 13th to spread his ashes at the family farm where he was born, on what would have been his 75th birthday.
